We are in the midst
of the final planning for our Achievement Conference in Boston. We
expect 3,000 participants. I only wish you were on our agenda. It
would give me one less thing to worry about.
You were absolutely
brilliant in your presentation to our leaders in Hawaii last
April.
Requests for a repeat visit for you came from the
President, Executive Vice President and
Senior Vice Presidents.
Some of the Group Vice Presidents inquired about having you
work
with their market groups. Needless to say, you were very well
received!
We would have loved
to have you with us in Sweden in May. Unfortunately, that did not
fit your schedule.
Rick, as you know,
we use speakers on a regular basis. In all my years doing this, you
were absolutely the very best at knowing your audience. I was so
impressed with the time you took to learn about our organization. It
was very obvious to our participants that this was not a "canned"
presentation, but was designed specifically to meet our

Rick did an
excellent job as our keynote speaker. We were impressed by his
thorough approach of data gathering to customize his presentation to
our needs. He was able to address issues that are very relevant and
timely to our organization and guests, while being
motivational.

Per your request of
very long ago, I am enclosing some pictures that were taken
when
Rick addressed the Annual Meeting of the National
Association of Surety Bond
Producers, in Puerto Rico, April,
1998. Please feel free to retain them and use those
of
interest.
Although we have spoken since then, I wanted
to again thank you for your assistance in arranging that speaking
engagement. It was an important one, in that it followed up and
built upon Rick initial message to NASBP members delivered one year
earlier at the 1997 NASBP Annual Meeting.
Many NASBP members really listened to Rick's
presentation message in 1997, and took action. Members told me that
they analyzed their businesses, thought about their business goals,
defined their goals, and changed, or began to change, the way they
did business. I believed it was important to provide them with more
information about how to continue the change initiatives they had
already implemented as well as what to do next!! I think that Rick's
1998 presentation, combined with the hands-on workshop that
immediately followed the presentation, accomplished this. I am very
pleased with what we accomplished for the members!

You, your colleagues at Barrera & Associates, and Rick are great
to work with!! I found your team to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic,
concerned about my organization's real needs, energetic, and fun! I
am impressed that Rick spent time in conference with me and our

It is my
understanding that you are looking at Rick Barrera as a speaker for
your organization. I highly recommend that ou put Rick on your
short list. My opinion is based on the fantastically well
received speech that Rick gave at our National Sales Meeting in
January 2000.
Rick Barrera is a
consummate professional who takes the time tolearn about your
business before his presentations. His pre-presentation
questionnaire was the most comprehensive that I have seen, and it
really made us think about what we wanted to communicate with our
employees. He was then able to take the information and
distill it down into a few key points that were most important, and
his delivery of these points had the audience craving to learn
more. After the meeting, we have received numberous requests
for the video of Rick's presentation so it could be shared with
other employees within our company - and some of our
partners.
I know that
choosing a speaker is a difficult endeavor and that the speakers
personality must match with your corporate culture. That said,
I would recommend Rick Barrera to any organization that is looking
